Ray Foundation was glad to sponsor a unique and noble movement this year, THE SWACHHABILITY RUN 2017.
24th July 2015 marked the day when Raay Foundation saw the launch of BJWHC’s Raay Centre for Children with Multiple Disabilities, which is located in Nowrosjee Wadia Maternity Hospital. The centre was established through a tripartite collaboration between Raay Foundation, Wadia Hospital and Muskan Foundation.
It is argued that poverty is the biggest accuse of disability in India because low socio economic persons are more likely to suffer from malnutrition, have limited access to medical care, lack of care during pregnancy and birth and those who have multiple pregnancies.
Raay Foundation’s flagship initiative in collaboration with Muskan and Wadia Children’s Hospital, is the establishment of an Early Intervention Centre to treat children who are born with multiple disabilities and vision impairment.
A primary concern of philanthropists, world over, is the effective utilization of funds for impact. This concern is heightened in India – not only due to the unethical nature of some organisations, but also the unorganized nature of the NGO industry.
